Making Life Easier for Sun City Seniors

About Tom

Hello and welcome to TG Handy Services — a local senior concierge and handyman service dedicated to making life easier and more enjoyable for older adults and their families.

A Little Background

During my college years, I worked summers in the maintenance department at a nursing home in Fremont, CA. From that experience, I got to know many of the residents and developed several lasting friendships. I realized I had a natural affinity for seniors and enjoyed spending time with them and learning about their lives.

Later, after many years working in the tech industry and now living in the Sacramento area, I started a side business helping mostly senior clients with computer problems and how to use various devices in the fast-changing world of technology. One of my customers turned out to be among my all-time favorite people. His name is Paul Camerer, who even into his 90s was participating in 5k races and had a neighborhood cycling gym in his garage (you can watch a local news story an him here). Paul had more energy than I did! I once asked him what his secret to a long, healthy life was and he simply said, “keep moving.” I took that to heart and have not missed getting in at least 10k steps since starting on May 1, 2017. It’s people like Paul, who became a great friend, that make this type of work so gratifying.

Now, as I reach senior status myself, I find helping older adults more rewarding than ever. So, I have expanded my Sun City based handyman business that I started in 2021, TG Handy Services, to include services many seniors and their families need.

I take pride in offering trustworthy, reliable, and compassionate service.

You can count on me for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Home maintenance and repairs
  • Daily errands like grocery shopping, post office runs, dry cleaning pick up / drop off
  • Home organization and decluttering
  • Seasonal upkeep and safety checks
  • Pet sitting and walking
  • Computer & technology help

My Mission

My goal is simple: to help seniors maintain independence and confidence in their homes — with care that feels like family.

I recognize how much of a difference a reliable helping hand can make. Whether it’s fixing a leaky faucet, running errands, organizing the home, or simply providing a friendly visit, my goal is to bring peace of mind and personalized support to every client I serve.
